Webinar tool selection report - February 2014
CGIAR Consortium Shared Services will soon be offering a social media induction training program aimed at communication and scientific staff for Centers, CRPs and Partner Organizations. The training program will be facilitated through an e-learning web platform. Created and run by Peter Casier with support from Samuel Stacey, it is essential that we identified a reliable and easy to use webinar tool.

Following a consultative research process, a list of 11 tools was selected and subsequently further short-listed to 4 tools. These 4 were tested across Europe, Africa and Asia with a large group. At the end of the process, BlueJeans has been identified as the best webinar delivery platform. Remember, no matter how good the tool, the internet connection speed of the presenter and participants greatly impacts the experience.

Shared Services is working on a Consortium-level agreement aimed at making BlueJeans available to the Consortium members.
