Get started with Google Forms

Google Forms lets you create online forms that people can fill out and submit online without having to log into Google or any other program. The data submitted is automatically transferred into a Google spreadsheet for your analysis at your convenience. 


How to access Google Forms

CGIAR Users

You need cgxchange.org account to access Google Docs.

  • You can access Google Forms from: http://docs.cgxchange.org and sign-in with your CGIAR account
  • Need to invite non CGIAR staff? Ask them to share with you their Google account (e.g. a @gmail.com address) or create a personal Google account

 

Not from CGIAR?

We create user accounts for CGIAR staff members only. If you’re not a staff member, you can be invited with your Google account.  If you don’t have one yet, click here to create a personal Google account


Overview

  • Creating a form from your Docs list:
  1. Click  Create > Form
  2. In the form template that opens, you can add any questions and options you'd like.
  3. Click  Email this form once you've finished adding your questions.
  4. Add email addresses for your desired recipients.
  5. Click  Send.
  • Creating a form from a spreadsheet:
  1. Click on the Form tab and click on Create a form.
  2. In the form template that opens, you can add any questions and options you'd like.

  5. Click  Send.
