To share documents with Gmail/Google users, please follow this procedure:
1. On the shared document, go to Share menu and click on Share with others
2. Add the Gmail address(es) separated by commas and click on Invite Collaborators:
You will receive a message that alerts you that the user you are inviting is outside your domain, click on OK:
This will open a message box with the list of addresses that you have added. (Note that a link to the document will be included in the message:
When you click on Send, the system sends the non-CGXchange users the correct URL (without cgxchange.org in the link):
Note: the shared document will also be visible through their Documents link in GMail.
Important note: After you have shared a document (or presentation/spreadsheet) with non-CGXchange users with a Gmail/Google account (or another Google Apps account), please do not send them the link of the document that you (as a cgxchange.org user) see on the screen when editing a document. This link only works if shared with CGXchange users.
